About The Arlington Humane Society

Dog Cat Arlington Humane Society

The Arlington Humane Society is a privately funded Society chartered and operated for the purpose of helping animals through community education and awareness. Toward this end, the goal of the Arlington Humane Society is to teach “Responsible Pet Ownership” through the following programs: OBEDIENCE TRAINING CLASSES, LOW COST SPAY/NEUTER PROGRAMS, LOW-COST VACCINATION CLINICS, LOST AND FOUND DOG SYSTEM, ADOPTIONS, AND COMMUNITY EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS. The Society supports municipal operated and funded animal control agencies and does not attempt to duplicate their mission, purpose, services or legal responsibilities. All of the cities within the service area of the Society fund and operate animal control departments and shelters to care for, and when necessary, humanely destroy unwanted and stray animals.

Goals: The goal of the Arlington Humane Society is to promote responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of all animals through community education and the following programs: OBEDIENCE TRAINING CLASSES, LOW COST SPAY/NEUTER PROGRAMS, LOW-COST VACCINATION CLINICS, LOST AND FOUND DOG SYSTEM, ADOPTIONS, and COMMUNITY EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

Community Education: Every year the Society puts on programs concerning responsible pet ownership for many schools, churches and other groups. Most recently our programs have included Tarrant County College for Kids Pet Care Class, Arlington 4-H Club dog training classes, Girl and Boy Scout programs, as well as Lions and Kiwanis Clubs. If you are a member of a group that needs a speaker and/or needs a special program, give us a call. We will be happy to have one of our volunteers meet with your group.Contact us for more information
